Mushroom Wet

Mushroom Wet!!! 🍄⁠

You'll need:⁠
4 cups of your favorite mushroom (we used shitake) cut in small pieces⁠
4 medium red onions – thoroughly washed and finely chopped 🧅⁠
1 cup Olive Oil⁠
2 table spoons of lite Tamari soy sauce⁠
1 cup of Taste Mekelle Berbere or your preferred Berbere⁠
1 tsp. chopped Garlic 🧄⁠
2 Bay leaves⁠
3 Cups of Water⁠
¼ cup dry white wine⁠
Freshly ground black pepper⁠

1. Cook onions until water is dissolved - add olive oil, soy sauce & cook to golden brown.⁠
2. Add Taste of Mekelle Berbere, garlic, bay leaves & 2 cups of water. Keep stirring to⁠
prevent sticking until onions and berbere are thoroughly mixed.⁠
3. Cook for about 20min. until sauce is thick.⁠
4. Add mushrooms & bay leaves to sauce and simmer for 15min.⁠
5. Don’t forget to remove bay leaf before serving!⁠
6. Serve with Injera bread, good bread 🥖
