Mushroom Wet
Mushroom Wet!!! 🍄
You'll need:
4 cups of your favorite mushroom (we used shitake) cut in small pieces
4 medium red onions – thoroughly washed and finely chopped 🧅
1 cup Olive Oil
2 table spoons of lite Tamari soy sauce
1 cup of Taste Mekelle Berbere or your preferred Berbere
1 tsp. chopped Garlic 🧄
2 Bay leaves
3 Cups of Water
¼ cup dry white wine
Freshly ground black pepper
1. Cook onions until water is dissolved - add olive oil, soy sauce & cook to golden brown.
2. Add Taste of Mekelle Berbere, garlic, bay leaves & 2 cups of water. Keep stirring to
prevent sticking until onions and berbere are thoroughly mixed.
3. Cook for about 20min. until sauce is thick.
4. Add mushrooms & bay leaves to sauce and simmer for 15min.
5. Don’t forget to remove bay leaf before serving!
6. Serve with Injera bread, good bread 🥖
