Cornbread


Looking for some comfort food that will transport you to the South?? How about this recipe inspired by an amazing Chef who introduced us to the⁠
Southwest … 😋😋⁠

You'll need:⁠
-grilled corn on the cob 🌽⁠
-grilled jalapeno (optional)⁠
-3 tablespoons Awaze honeyed jalapeno⁠
-1 cup all-purpose flour⁠
-1 cup yellow cornmeal⁠
-1 teaspoon salt⁠
-3 teaspoons baking powder⁠
-⅓ cup melted butter⁠
-1 egg⁠
-1 cup butter milk⁠

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
2. Cut the corn off the cob & chop up your jalapeno - remove seeds if you don't want it tooo spicy!⁠
3. In a bowl add the flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt, and baking⁠
powder mix. Then add the rest of the ingredients (butter, egg &⁠
butter milk)⁠
3. Stir all ingredients until the mixture has no lumps.⁠
4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25⁠
minutes until the top is a deep golden brown and a toothpick⁠
inserted into the center comes out clean.⁠
5. Serve hot - add a pat of melty butter on top if you're going the extra mile! 🧈
