Cornbread
Looking for some comfort food that will transport you to the South?? How about this recipe inspired by an amazing Chef who introduced us to the
Southwest … 😋😋
You'll need:
-grilled corn on the cob 🌽
-grilled jalapeno (optional)
-3 tablespoons Awaze honeyed jalapeno
-1 cup all-purpose flour
-1 cup yellow cornmeal
-1 teaspoon salt
-3 teaspoons baking powder
-⅓ cup melted butter
-1 egg
-1 cup butter milk
1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
2. Cut the corn off the cob & chop up your jalapeno - remove seeds if you don't want it tooo spicy!
3. In a bowl add the flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt, and baking
powder mix. Then add the rest of the ingredients (butter, egg &
butter milk)
3. Stir all ingredients until the mixture has no lumps.
4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25
minutes until the top is a deep golden brown and a toothpick
inserted into the center comes out clean.
5. Serve hot - add a pat of melty butter on top if you're going the extra mile! 🧈
