Taste of Asmara Rosemary Chicken

A tasty way to test our Taste of Asmara is with this delicious roasted chicken recipe.

If you leave the bone in and the skin on, your cooking time will be 35-40 min @ 375 degrees.

You'll need:⁠

  • 1 Tablespoon of Taste of Asmara Gourmet Berbere

  • ¼ cup olive oil⁠

  • ½ squeezed lime or lemon

  • 1 Tablespoon of dry white wine (optional – keeps it juicy)

Instructions:

  1. Start by heating your oven to 375 degrees. ⁠

  2. Rinse and pat dry the chicken with paper towel. ⁠

  3. Combine olive oil, wine lime/lemon juice together. Rub all over the chicken - under the skin and in the cavity. ⁠

  4. Roast chicken, basting half way through cooking time with Taste of Asmara Berbere Spice until golden brown and crispy. It’s tastiest when cooked to internal temperature of 165 degrees! ⁠

  5. Let it rest for 8-10 min. before serving. ⁠

  6. Serve with your favorite side dish!
